On Friday, 17th April, we will be showing ‘The Choral’ (Cert. 12), written by Alan Bennett and starring Ralph Fiennes as a choirmaster who takes over a British choral society that’s lost most of its men to the army, during the First World War. Finally, on Friday 12th June we will be showing ‘Hamnet’ (Cert. 12), which imagines the life of William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes, and how they cope with a terrible tragedy, the death of their son Hamnet, leading to the writing of one of the greatest play the world has seen. Entrance is £5 for adults, £3 for 12-16 year olds. Dennington Village Hall has a cinema quality projector and 3 metre wide screen, creating a real ‘night at the movies’ experience but without the travel! Bar open for drinks and popcorn.
